Trick or Treat on 1st Street
Join us for Downtown Mount Vernon’s Annual Trick-or-Treat, where families come downtown for a fun and safe alternative to neighborhood trick-or-treating. Bring your costumed kiddos (and selves!) and stroll around to grab goodies from participating businesses on Friday, October 31, 2025.
Enter into our photo costume contest by tagging @mountvernonwa on Instagram or Facebook, winner gets a delicious downtown prize! :)
No worries if you can’t get there right at 4, trick or treating goes all the way until 6 so show up whenever you can!

Parade starts at 5:00PM. This family-friendly event is sponsored this year by WECU and produced by the Mount Vernon Downtown Association with the help of the City of Mount Vernon. Continue celebrating the season by grabbing a bite to eat at our delicious restaurants and cafes!

Pigs on the Wing: Echoes of Pink Floyd tour
Pigs on the Wing’s 2024-2025 tour, “Echoes of Pink Floyd”, is a second act to the band’s previous year’s tour. As before, the Echoes of Pink Floyd tour will feature a new selection of the very best of classic-era Pink Floyd cuts organized into 2 distinct sets. Rather than performing a single album from start to end, expect to hear the band focus on their favorite sections of the classic albums, including hits, deep cuts, and the band’s trademark willingness to explore the sonic space in experimental improvisation. Fans can expect an immersive visual show in a don’t-miss event for any Pink Floyd fan!

Tulip Festival Street Fair
The Tulip Festival Street Fair invites you to historic Downtown Mount Vernon, April 18-20, 2025, for a long weekend of art, music, and festivities.

11th Annual Illuminight Winter Walk
The 2025 Illuminight Winter Walk celebrates art, health, community, and the Skagit ecosystem!
Join us for this free community event in downtown Mount Vernon. There will be live music, art , and a luminary lit procession Bring your own luminary or make a paper bag luminary at Tri Dee Arts before the event. There will also be a limited number of luminaries available for purchase at the event.

The Mount Vernon Downtown Association encourages you to support your friends and neighbors on Small Business Saturday, November 30th, and throughout the holiday season by shopping for your loved ones at our independently-owned small businesses FIRST! Brick and mortar businesses support our local economy by providing local jobs and sales tax revenue, while contributing to the unique, friendly small town feel of our community.
Small Business Saturday was designed to encourage people to shop at small businesses on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. This single day has grown into a powerful movement, and more people are taking part than ever before.
Ladies Night Out
Stroll around Downtown Mount Vernon enjoying tastings from wineries across the state at over 10 participating downtown businesses! With over 30 wines to choose from you’ll be bound to find a favorite to take home.
