Main Street Moments Episode 4

This week we take you behind the scenes of Pinecone Inc. with founder Rich Callison thanks to our partners at TMV Watch & Transmedia Vision.

The News: This week we made the difficult announcement that we have to cancel the 2021 Tulip Festival Street Fair once more due to the ongoing pandemic. While an outdoor event, we could not envision a safe way to manage social distancing with crowds of 10,000 plus daily visitors.

And now, the good news: with vaccination rates improving and our community doing the hard work of keeping everyone safe, hope is rising, and we are excited to announce a new event scheduled for later this year! The Harvest Festival Street Fair will occur in downtown Mount Vernon the weekend of October 2-3, 2021, and many of your favorite Tulip Festival vendors have already promised to come, so MARK YOUR CALENDARS! We’re excited to collaborate with the Skagit Valley Festival of Family Farms Tour for a fantastic weekend. We’ll be celebrating the end of the growing season and the wonderful bounty of our beautiful Skagit Valley!

Small Business Spotlight: Many of us have turned our energies into home improvements over the past year, fueled by time spent at home and resources we might use toward travel now allocated to a fresh coat of paint or a large-scale remodel. Do you have a remodeling or construction project in your future? We’d like to introduce you to another of our newest downtown businesses, Pinecone Inc. We encourage you to check out their beautiful showroom and earth-friendly solutions for inspiration and your next project.
